aviary cards

The Aviary stamp set by Stampin' Up is my current favourite. It's so easy to make cards for just about anyone, for anything, with this stamp. And you can make some really simple cards (such as these) or fancy it up for a special occasion. I think they are graphically strong on their own and don't need a lot of decoration and can still be cute.

Super Simple Circles

So here is another one of my favourite cards to do for birthday invitations or just generic birthday card packs. They stamp and punch so quickly and the twine is just a cute and easy extra detail, and by popping up the circles on a dimension, really gives the card some  visual interest.

Wedding Cards

I love using punches to add small but cute details to cards, especially wedding cards. Wedding cards are typically classic and simple in design, with one strong contrasting color to focus your attention. I originally saw the heart punch bride and groom on Dawn's Youtube and after doing a couple of those, decided to do some owl couples as well. I really like the Stampin' Up Owl punch, but I find using these sort of eyes gives the punch more interest than just the straight paper eyes that you would normally use.

Introduction

I love cardmaking, and need a place to showcase what my favourite cards, techniques and styles so I can track back to them without having them fill up my hard drive.
But also this is a place where hopefully others can come and find ideas for simple projects that you don't need a lot of tools for.
